２０１６年９月。牛飼いとコロッケ屋は、なぜか東京・池袋の商談会で出会った。 十勝清水コスモスファームの安藤常務は、木川商店のブースで冷凍コロッケを試食した瞬間「コレだ！」と直感した。衣のサクサク感に感動した。 木川商店の三代目萩原社長は、十勝清水コスモスファームのブースでコンビーフを試食した瞬間「コレだ！」と直感した。牛肉本来のうまみに驚いた。 「一緒にものづくりしましょう！」と、どちらからともなく握手をした。 「質の良い牛肉×加工技術力」で、世間をあっと驚かせる「すごく美味しい！すごく簡単！そしてリーズナブル！」なビーフメンチカツをつくるチャレンジがスタートした。
